Gide Acute Viral Myocarditis

New year, new platforms!

last few days have been very intense. Just before Christmas, I attended the Symposium Me, you and everybody we know is a curator in Amsterdam. Featured speakers from all corners, such as Bruce Sterling, Mieke Gerritzen, Rick Poynor, Andrew Keen ... Of which I'd like to highlight the performances of Sarah Cook, Willem Velthoven of Mediamatic, Aram Bartholl and Dagan Cohen, who explained how to revive the cinema thanks to Youtube. The truth is it was a wonderful time.

Building my first visit to Amsterdam, I went to see the science museum in the city, the Nemo. This museum is housed in a very unique building that simulates a large green boat, which was designed by architect Renzo Piano. It seemed a very comprehensive museum explaining prototypes from three-dimensional images to the secrets of memory. In Nemo you can learn about construction, electricity, space, genetics, adolescents, perception, robotics. There are areas dedicated to workshops and experimentation. It has a small shop where I bought a couple of curiosities, a Newton telescope and cardboard to build a game on pixels.

Although the visit was very pleasant, it surprised me childlike place ... This, I think that wonderful knowledge center was a little limited to children aged 0 to 10 years, just by appearances ... Not so deceive the senses, science museums are places for enjoyment and learning for all!

On Monday 21, taking advantage of the hours in Amsterdam, we visited the extraordinary exhibition recently organized by Mediamatic . This exhibition was created with the collaboration of people from different countries and is worth a visit. In the afternoon, our guide Dutch, Astrid Lubs, who is currently working with Citilab , showed us the insides of FabLab , Laboratory and manufacturing Waag Society . This was very interesting and enriching!

The return was somewhat uneven and were beginning to get the Christmas holidays, but despite the holidays, the Mandarin has been working ... Just before the end of the year, I announced the new website of the Newton Mandarin I've been preparing in recent days. So, this entry does occur as the last entry in this blog, because the changes are over and we have moved to:

the web Newton Tangerine Tangerine
Newton new blog
the Newton Tangerine future podcast

addition I've also been preparing a presentation that I will perform on the 4th January at 18h in Citilab Cornellá. I have already bought witch brooms, eggs, marbles, racing cars and cornstarch. I also had cooking sessions with my friends Astrid, Pau and his family ... If you want to know more or try our mandarins will have to come to the meet!

Happy 2010 to everyone and now we are in the new blog Newton Tangerine!
