science, math, mystery, crime and some spices like uma laranja

This afternoon I was with a friend looking at some beautiful photographs which impacted a few drops of water back to its fluid. At that moment, my own words have led me to realize that my passions are combined. No, do not think that today I talk about ethanol, propanol or any other type of alcohol, no. My favorite cocktails are those that mix science or mathematics with any other discipline, a way of seeing the world or how you feel-it. I like to see that in the fall of a drop mixed beauty, optics, gravity and two components chemicals: hydrogen and oxygen. I'm excited to think that no science at every turn. And I propose nuclear fusion that the laws of physics allow me. If you can fuse Flamenco with Jazz, mathematics can be mixed with the murders and physical poetry.

If someone wants to put in a shaker same: murder, mystery, math and literature, I recommend reading, almost sickly, the second part of "Men Who Hate Women" . Ie "The Girl Who Played with Fire and a can of gasoline Stieg Larsson. This book surprised me with phrases like the following:

"The root of an equation is a number you enter in one place of the unknown makes the equation an identity. It is said that the result satisfies the equation. To solve an equation one must find all the roots. An equation is satisfied by all conceivable values \u200b\u200bof the unknowns is called identity.
(a + b) 2 = a 2 + 2ab + b 2 "

And we do not know if they are words of a textbook or a novel ... And life is also a mystery or two or three or half dozen. A x, y, a z, a n, a to a combination of all that solve the mystery ... When left with a friend, we set a time and a certain position so that both bodies can have a common point among all points of their chaotic journeys. How many trains are between A and B in the textbooks! And how many friends are to go to the movies on the streets of our cities! Is exactly the same ... (Or an approximation of the same.)

And with this post, I try to make amends to science and mathematics for every moment t that these are treated with contempt. Rejecting all these comments about the science or math are boring and of no interest to the public. I complain about all those ads that small saw, which we now at 30, where they said:

- Do mates? No, these do not fall or cold or hot!

For cold, hot, mystery, a capella, with rum, with Greek letters, novels, day by day, film and life, science and math are the essence and sparkle that moves us. Nothing is more curious that a boy or a girl. And nothing more exciting than a journalist and war reporter describes as Swedish Salander, one of the characters in her novels suddenly stops short y. ..

"In the margin of his copy de Arithmetica, Pierre de Fermat had scribbled the words: "I have a truly wonderful proof for this claim, but the margin is too narrow to contain."
The square had become a hub (
x^n + y^n = z^n \ when n = 3) and mathematicians have spent centuries answer to the riddle of Fermat. To get to solve it in the nineties, Andrew Wiles had to fight for ten years with the most advanced software in the world.
And suddenly, Lisbeth (our protagonist) he understood. The response was a simplicity that completely disarmed. A numbers game lined up in series, and suddenly, your site is placed on forming a formula rather should be seen as a hieroglyph. (...)"

That is what we need, more mixing, more Lisbeth Salanders Fermat solving puzzles just before meeting with murderers. (Which by the way, for those who like the subject of Fermat (and those who do not) I also recommend the film "Fermat's Room" ), Bart Simpsons more checking the Coriolis Effect , more understanding and more real life to the mystery that surrounds us ... And with this

... Just wish you luck in your math and experiential your unknowns! To find the Xs!
