Bach Festival - Mozart 2010

Created to present the best productions of the singers and instrumentalists who make up the sponsors musical groups (see above). They are joined by guest singers and instrumentalists who perform professional practice is not rented.

Oscar Castro: Graduated from the Higher Institute of Music National University of Litoral, where she studied singing, clarinet, piano, composition, choral and orchestral. He has taught choral conducting, voice, Choir Practice, Conducting, Orchestral Practice and Chamber Music at the National Universities of San Juan, Coastline, Northeast and Buenos Aires. Cello Latin American Festivals are intended for students, professionals, amateurs and all those who love this instrument. Consist of public classes, rehearsals and concerts in a friendly and stimulating. Five days of intense learning and exchange of experiences in the company of excellent musicians, which can also chamber music, cello and orchestra ensembles. The current sponsorship of the Fundación YPF has expanded the academic offerings and the free activities of the Festival.


Eduardo Vassallo: Born in Buenos Aires in 1961. He began his musical studies with teachers Finoli Nicholas (cello) and Ljerko Spiller (chamber music), and continued in Europe at the International Menuhin Academy (Gstaad, Switzerland) with teachers Radu Aldulescu and Pierre Fournier. At the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne (Germany) studied with the master Boris Pergamenschikov. Founding member of the String Quartet of the LRA Radio Nacional and cello soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina. Intervened on numerous recordings by integrating the Camerata Lysy Gstaad (Switzerland), developed a passion for activity related to chamber music and performing as a soloist in Europe, America and Asia. Chairholder of cello at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and Birmingham founding member of Ensemble, a group dedicated exclusively to chamber music. In front of major orchestras, performed solo performances in Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, England and Italy. Since 1989 he works as cello soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Along with pianist Cristina Filoso, who formed a duo with fifteen years ago in London recorded an album for the label ASV, with great critical acclaim internationally. Mauricio


Veber: Specializing in teaching cello for children. He studied with master Nicholas Finoli and then at the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem with Shmuel Magen. Member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón and the ensemble "The Cellists of Buenos Aires." Professor of cello at the Higher Institute of Music, Universidad Nacional del Litoral and the Conservatorio Manuel de Falla. Maria Eugenia Castro Tarchini: He studied cello with Nicholas Finoli and musical analysis with Graciela Tarchini. Sponsored by the Fundación Antorchas, the National Endowment for the Arts and various English institutions studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Eduardo Vassallo. Participated in the Verbier Festival (Switzerland) and Sapporo (Japan). He was a member of the Orchestra in May, the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón and the Camerata at the University of Buenos Aires (first cello soloist). Currently a member of the National Symphony of Argentina and various chamber ensembles. He plays frequently in the Camerata Bariloche and as a soloist in front of orchestras.


Forms of participation:

1 - active participant with individual class (lecture): It involves actively sharing all activities of the Festival, with the right to a public character individual class (class master) on repertoire chosen by the students themselves. Limit: 15 (fifteen), selected by teachers of the Festival, based on the background and records submitted by applicants registered before March 21, 2010. Receive certificate at the end of the Festival.

2 - Active Participant classless individual, involves participation in assemblies cellos of the Festival, attend all activities (lectures, concerts, lectures), and the right to run the "award Finoli Nicholas (see below). Trapemar chamber orchestra convenes

OBJECT

The Cultural Department of the Hon. Ayuntamiento de Llanes, announces the XII International Viola Competition - Cello "Villa de Llanes" in two ways:

Category A: up to 27 years.
Category B: up to 16 years.

This Contest consists of two options:
1) Specialty Violin
2) Specialty Viola - Cello

will be held each year a Specialty , corresponding in the year 2010 of Viola - Cello

This contest will take place in Llanes in the hall of the Secondary School, C / Celso Amieva s / n, from 22, 23 and August 24.

Category B:

Day 22, at 16 h. presentation and the beginning of the first test.
Day 23 at 16 pm, final.

Category A:

Day 23 at 10 h. presentation and the beginning of the first test.
Day 24 at 10 am, final.
Day 24 at 19 pm, concert and awards ceremony.

The competition for both modes are the same except paragraph 2 of regulation and the works of the tests. CONTEST RULES

1 º) The contest is open to all young violists and cellists of all nationalities, who meet the Competition rules.

2) Age limit on January 1, 2010: Category A, 27 years and Category B, 16.

3 º) The Competition consists of:

  1. Selection of participants by the organizing committee. They sent a DVD recording of two works, one by one with solo instrument and piano accompaniment, which lasted approximately twenty minutes. Be admitted to the qualifying the 12 top finishers.
  2. Qualifying Tests: Qualifying Phase

4 º) A candidate shall, at the time of their action, a copy of the score of each work to be interpreted.

CONTEST INTERNATIONAL CELLO "MURCIA 2010"

BASES

  1. PARTICIPANTS:
    1. The contest is open exclusively to all members of the bands participating in the International Festival of Youth Orchestras in the 2010 edition.
    2. The age limit is 25 years (born after March 22, 1984).
  2. AUDITIONS:
    1. The Cello Competition will take place on Friday March 26, 2010. Contestants will be notified where and when auditions.
    2. Auditions will be held in one session in which the contestant must perform a play and a forced choice.
    3. The test piece should be one chosen from the following: - From Suite No. 5, BWV 1011 by JS Bach: Prelude and Gavotte I and II - Sonata in E m J. Brahms, op. 38, 3rd movement - Sonata in "Old Style" by G. Cassadó, 3rd movement, "Dance with variations."
    4. The piece chosen will be for solo cello or piano accompaniment. In this case, the candidates may bring their own accompanist or, if necessary, facilitate the organization of the Festival. The duration of the work, or full extent, shall not exceed 10 minutes.
    5. The order of performance will be decided by drawing lots before the beginning of the auditions.
  3. JURY
    1. The jury will be chosen by the organization and shall be composed of renowned personalities in the field of music specialists and teachers of the instrument on which to perform the competition.
    2. The Jury will be announced at the closing concert of the Festival and will be delivered by the authorities present at the event.
  4. AWARDS:
    1. be a prize of 1,500 euros and a certificate.
    2. In case of tie the jury split the prize equally. Diploma will be delivered to that effect.
    3. The jury may create a second prize if appropriate, on the basis that it deems convenient. Diploma will be delivered to that effect.
