Modern Family is a comedy television series of the United States. The pilot episode was released on September 23, 2009, with an audience of 12.605 million viewers, 1 and since then the series has garnered critical acclaim and has been honored as "Outstanding Comedy Series" at the 62nd edition of the awards Primetime Emmy.2 On January 12, 2010 was renewed for a second temporada.3
The fake documentary focuses on families Prittchet Jay (played by Ed O'Neill), his daughter Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) and his son Mitchel Prittchet (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), who live in Los Angeles (California). Jay is married to a Colombian woman much younger than he, Gloria (Sofia Vergara), and helps you raise your child pre-teen, Manny (Rico Rodriguez II). Claire is a housewife married to Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) and mother of three children: Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter) and Luke (Nolan Gould). Cameron Mitchell Tucker and her boyfriend (Eric Stonestreet) has adopted a Vietnamese baby, Lily.
The series revolves around three families who are interlinked by Jay Pritchett, Pritchett his son Mitchell and daughter Claire Dunphy. Each of the three households respond to a different family model: the parent is married to a woman much younger and beautiful Colombian origin living with that child has had with her ex-husband, the family of Claire is formed with her husband and three children, she is a housewife and mother of two teenage daughters, and Mitchell lives with her boyfriend of five years and both have adopted a Vietnamese girl. Families gather for family functions in the neighborhood, and between family ties.

The diversity of these characters leads them to over-comic situations arising from their personal friction, some of the most significant is the tense-misunderstood relationship between Jay and Phil / Cam, mother-daughter conflict between Claire and Haley, Jay problems to accept homosexuality your son or cultural differences which is Gloria.
